JPRI:JAPAN PUBLIC RELATIONS INSTITUTE

Our Mission

The mission of Japan Public Relations Institute is to help create a better society through offering outstanding PR services in partnership with public bodies.

The society we live in today, more than ever before, demands accountability, information disclosure, organizational and operational transparency and sustainability from every organization and group that is part of it. Driving these demands are the forces of globalization, advances in information technology, the growing influence of the media and increasing pressure for improved management efficiency. To meet these demands, government organizations, independent administrative corporations, local governing bodies, NPOs and other public bodies need to be particularly adept at communicating.

Public Relations (PR) is the most effective means for each public body to communicate its purpose (or raison d'etre), its primary activities, the goals it seeks to achieve, and how it benefits society. PR also plays an important role in balancing the interests of stakeholders - taxpayers, consumers, the media, local communities, employees, companies and the international community - and enhancing a public body's reputation, a function which includes risk management.

Japan Public Relations Institute (JPRI) has developed an optimal PR model for government-related bodies, independent administrative corporations, local governing bodies, NPOs and other public bodies, and offers an array of PR services designed to build good relations between such public bodies and society. Utilizing our expertise, in partnership with public bodies, we strive towards our mission to help create a better society through offering outstanding PR services.
